Quintin, welcome to the forums. This thread should answer any questions about posting pictures here: http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=27749 The two biggest problems to posting pictures is file size and file name. Keep your pictures at 800 pixels on the longest side and you should be fine. Use only letters and numbers in the name and no spaces.
If you're still having problems after reading the thread I linked to let us know and we will be glad to help. |

Here are a few pictures of Quintin's engine facility and other locations. He's working on how to attach photos that are open in his post. I'll throw in a few I took for now until he's ready to post his own. Quintin's railroad is really cool guys. It's a railroad for those who love switching. I'll let him explain further when he's ready.

Rick. We are working on it. I don't know why he's having problems posting a larger picture. I actually posted the pictures of my country stores on my thread to show him that the file size I was using works. We were on the phone when I posted those pictures. When he posts something the same exact size, the forum refuses them. It gets refused on the window that opens when you click attach a file. He chooses a file and then clicks UPLOAD Image File and gets that message when if won't take it. I don't know what to tell him. I use a Mac and he uses a PC. When I had a PC, I had no problems either. I think he is using Firefox. What do you think the problem is????

Rick,
I followed your instructions for using Firefox to upload my pictures.
I size the picture to 788x591 I choose file to upload - Upload file to MINRR post. I then get the error message Request object error 'ASP 0104: 80004005' Operation not allowed /Forum/OutputFile provided 'ASP,line 13

Even though your picture is sized correctly, if you are saving it at a high resolution it will cause the file size to be too large to upload. The smaller picture you posted is 160kb in size. Making it 788x591 will probably put it over 200kb which won't load. Try saving at a medium resolution and see if that solves the problem.
