Wes, great start on the tools. As for hooking them up take a look at this link for the Sundance Central, there are several interior shots of their shop interior which should help.

Ill spend some time going through them this weekend.

Busy with details at the moment. Below is the tractor under repair that has got its first round of weathering. Still some more rust mud dirtand engine grime to be added.

Just a quick update showing the 16mm MDF base ive made for the dio and a pic with the structures loosely placed to see if they will all fit.

Wes, are you planning on doing your scenery work on this MDF? You will need to SEAL it really well because if you put any water or 50/50 glue on it it will swell like crazy. Pat

I'm not so sure about that Pat...
There is no need to seal the MDF prior to scenery work.

I've done quite a few diorama bases on MDF and never had a problem with swelling, even
when wetting the base layer with water in the initial steps of scenery and then soaking with 50/50.

After several dampenings/wettings/ and additional scenic layers added there has still been no problems
on any of my dioramas.

I work with MDF almost daily in my profession, using water based materials.

I wasnt planning on sealing it because Ive had no problem in the past with it. Im sure though that those words will come back and bite me one day.

Good afternoon all.

well the weather is alot coooler here later, and Ive got the winter modelling fever back. So below are some pics.


Here is the repair shed with some of the details glued down. I`ll add more when its glued to the base.


The stunning gas pump casting that comes with the kit. The handle still needs to be added.


And after seeing Marios wonderful home made details, I created this little work bench. Still pondering if I should add more clutter or leave it like this.

I sometimes try to add a detail to a workbench that reflects an item the little guys are working on. Maybe a front tractor wheel for example. Just a thought, but I am very impressed with what you have done so far. One day I will start mine.

Wes- the bench looks great- only thing it might need is a dark stain or two. Great peeling paint on the pump.
