Today I pulled out some of the details for this project.
Some are finished, half imcomplete and to do items. It's only taken 12 months so far

Figures need to be repainted.

Some items will be worked on at the June 2012 model expo.

Looks like you have five or six days of heavy modeling ahead of you!!!

This ought to be a beauty when its done.

But will you ever be able to make a structure big enough to host all these details?

Jerry. Five or six years modeling

Frederic. I make alotta of details, then pick out which may suit. The other stuff then gets thrown in the "bucklist" box

I've got a few O scale figures, some painted commercially and some I hand painted.

Tonight I primed a few more. Seems I have doubled up on a few, which will get off loaded at some stage.

Old paint jobs. Time to re-prime and start again

Guys. I have a lot of detail parts and castings and I gotta say the Seirra West castings are the ultimate. Extremely well detailed and clean. The machinery is clean and parts fit well.

Grab some if you can. [:-thumbu][:-thumbu]

Ill definately second that statement. Busy with some of them at the moment, and there is no problems at all.

Wes.

Brian Nolan had a generator / compressor on wheels ( top left ) as the above photo.

I've just finished another similar model without wheels.
What was the use for these machines, as I'd like to add them to the Doan Structure.

You have a most impressive pile of bits and pieces and people and all the rest! No wonder you have a few duplicates in there.

I think the generator thing on the cart looks like an air compressor that would be used for powering pneumatic tools at building sites and during roadworks etc. Electrical generators usually seem to be quite a bit smaller.

Built a waterfront HO layout in Ireland http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22161 but now making a start in On30 in Australia

Neil

I need a use for the air compressor on a wharf scene.
If you or anyone else can think of something I would be grateful.
There will be an auto workshop within this 5 workshop structure, so I do need many duplicate machines and bits & pieces.

thanks for the feedback

cheers mate

Mario, an air compresser would be used by the auto shop to air up tires, air tools for lug nuts and stuck bolts, or even to raise a hoist to work on cars. Around a shop scene, they would be used for air winches, air tools, air hoses to clean machines and such. those are several exaples to help you out.

Mario;
Could you have the air compressor working a spray painting miniscene?
maybe a small boat upended on the pier getting its antifouling paint redone?

In my search for more "compressor" answers, I found a couple of photos that I took at Gunnison, Colorado back in 2006.

Any clue what this might have been used for.
