The intent of this thread is to have a place for members to post their personal photographs of prototype subjects related to railroading to be used for reference when building layouts, dioramas or structures.
Any prototype pictures of structures, industries, bridges, line side details, docks, locomotives, rolling stock, trucks, boats etc. are acceptable.

The sole purpose of this thread is to have a place for members to post their own personal photographs.
Please do not post links to other peoples pictures.
These will be removed by the mods.

Links to collections of photos maintained by Museums, Universities, Libraries, and other organizations should still be posted in the Museum, University & Library Photo Archives thread: http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8408

Great idea for a topic, Rick. Great to make it a sticky.
While we don't lack machine shop pictures on sites such as American Memory for instance, they seldom show the colors of things, and this topic can be a great help to fill this information gap.

This was posted by Wes (wesleybeks) elsewhere and is being moved here to keep all members prototype photos in one place.

Hi guys

While out working during the day i always keep my camera with me to for photos of interesting modeling subjects.

Yesterday I came across these drums and old printing cylinders at one of our customers. I couldnt find any real topic devoted specifically to rust, so I thought I would start my own. PLease feel free to add some of your own pictures that you have.
