Andy, the addition of those leaves adds a lot to the scene. Nice work. I really like that pile of bricks.
That last herald you posted looks the best to me. |

| Andy the layout is really comming together nicely. I would suggest a clothes line with clothes hanging on the line. By the type of clothes you hang it could tell a little about who lives in the trailer. |

Andy, great scene. I found that the extra texture of the leaves drew my eye in and helped to tie all the detail together. I think your last herald is the best. Are you planning any graphics for the center? |

thanks guys. seems the newest herald is the winner then :D
brownbr i just googled for old news papers and the like, put them into something like msword, shrunk them down and printed them out.
heath, no, no graphics in the centre, im going for a smaller herald (around half inch or so) so i think any detail graphics would just get lost and cluttered up
larry, i did think about a clothes line, however i have no idea how to make decent looking clothes, any ideas?
thanks rick, i picked up a box of plus models bricks, you get ALOT although mine seem to be all different sizes (judgeing by the photo on the box, they are ment for war time dios, so alot of blown up buildings i guess) |

Andy,
Those last additions to the trailer scene, makes a huge difference, looks more run down now, looks great.
As for the clothes tou can cut them out of paper then use ACC to stiffen the paper.

so my attempt at making a rake isnt going well, too fiddely/looks srange, oh well :)
thanks for the sudgestion ron, never thought about paper. will have to see where i can fit a washing line, heck maybe a single shirt and shock will tell alot by the person that lives there, heck if the dirty tin bath and beer bottles isnt enough :D
also, i was "borrowing" the metal wheels from an HO tank car from the train set i got to use on my passenger caboose. and it struck me how nice it looks (and its in the older MKT colours, whitch i like alot) then i noticed its size compaired to the chivers tank can.

get rid of the modern breakwheels, widen the walkway, new step. maybe cut it down, but its a nice lengh as is. mhmmmmmmmm :D |

larry i know, but its fun and cheap :D the question is why isnt more people going old school on30?
mark, its athearn, i see some people seem to have alot of "beef" with athearn, but the way i see it, alot of the old blue box stuff, from years ago is BETTER then newer british outline models, and since we can pick up engines with twin fly wheels for £20-£25 who am i to complain? but this is from a train set i got, but it all looks the same as the old blue box stuff (trainman?) |

so heres the washing line

im really quite pleased how it came out thanks for the sudgestion!
also plonked on a couple of the trees. working up the currage to stick them in.
the davenport has entered the paint shop
desided to go with red and black like it was. will be weathered in due corse.
because im using a chassis with a wheel set with the weights removed and only drive to one wheel, i needed a way to hide the hole, and make axel boxes, i was going to scratch build something but i came across and old long given up oo scale project, long story short, i brought an old white metal kit for a british weed killing tank (an old tender) at some point i cut off the axel boxes to use on a kit bashed moving crane. and for years it sat like that, so when i found it, i pulled off the axel boxes and found they fitted so well so stuck them on, nice to see they finaly get used on something that will be finished

Hi Andy,
Your caravan / trailer scene gets better and better looking.[:-bouncy]
The washing line, the tress, and the general clutter makes it really 'at home'.
I'm glad you decided to leave the Davenport red. Looks great, as I mentioned earlier.
Nice kit-bash with the OO scale axle boxes, too.
John
