| Neat! More cool new projects to follow ... your Davenport will definitely have its own distinct personality ... nice! Look forward to more of the passenger stuff too. [;] |

so here is the passenger caboose as it stands.

i dont know if dallas planed it or not, but the long steps are a perfect fit under the door. did an "ok" job at joining the cut down chivers sides to the BVM sides. the difference in the thickness made it tricky i think once ive added paint and wathering it should be ok. nothing on the top is fixed in the place if anything looks wonky :D
last night i thought of something i could add to the tender on the porter. made it before i turned in for bed.
bit of lead wire, some heat shrink and voila one hose to fill the tender with oil, just needs primer and paint.
also, been playing about with these details for a few weeks, adding bits, moving them around, nothing is stuck. what do you guys think?

i tried out a round wash tub, found it didnt look quite right and didnt fit where the current tin tub is, it hit bachmann cars. so i folloed schoolmaster john's sudgestion and just weathered it a little, the inside is damn grubby. dont want to stand too close to who ever lives in the trailer.

I don't know Andy it seems to be a little to neat around the trailer.
Actually the trailer scene looks great. Maybe add a little more "junk" around the trailer.
The passenger caboose is also looking good, never would of thought of doing that myself, but it works (another idea to file away). |

Andy, That is some really nice work of late. I like the details around the trailer. I do that too, pick and place and look at them for a while. If I like it then I clue it. The water tank looks nice too. You using solder for hose? I use braided trolling fishing line that has a lead core. When you look at my stuff that is the covering you see.
