Thanks very much indeed Joe, I'm looking forward to building a few more of them and maybe a couple of variations.

Not quite finished yet, the chair hasnt even been started on, I need 'something' under the workbench, in the center and there's a few other things to do.
However, it now needs to get shelved for a few days while I work on something much more exciting, so, I figured I'd post a progress pic or few for now.

Karl, Looks more like 1:20 than 1:48. Fantastic details, the paint cans and hammers are cool. The work bench and wheel is even better. Always fun to see that you do next. Larry |

That work bench is cool Karl.
The stains where paint cans were standing is a neat idea. Ill have to steal that one for future projects. |
Regards Wes. Dont leave for tomorrow what you can do today. |

Hi Karl, Nice little bench, with the paint ring being a good finishing touch. I finally made time to get down to the post office today, so you should have some more toys to play with in a week or so.
Cheers, Dan Pickard |

Great job on the workbench, Karl. I like the paint stains too. Kinda reminds me of my workbench.

Karl,
The workbench and details look great, you sure are raising the bar for detailing in O scale. Now you got me to thinking about how much detailing I'll be doing on my next build. Lookls like I'll be "borrowing" a few ideas.

Thanks for all the comments guys, really appreciated. Mike I'll post some info later when I get up and get to the bench. I'll look forward to that Dan, thanks again. I wouldn't go quite that far OM, still have a lot of catching up and learning to do.
Paint ring idea copied from Dave.R or Chuck.D... or both, cant remember.
Thanks again.

Mike, paint cans are made from 1/8" aluminium tubing with the inside filed out at the top with a round file to thin the rim. Cut to 3/16" length.
Labels were made as described previously in the thread for the main sign.
Handles were made from .015 wire, which turned out to be too thick and so was thinned to a smaller diameter, propably around .010 now.
closed cans were made by pushing some sculpy into the tube flush with the top, then, pushing it down a little more to produce a slight recess and rim, as visible in pic 2 above. painted silver, and that was that.
Paint brush is a SierraWest casting.

It's a treat to watch you detail the scene, Karl. You can imagine how I love this kind of cluster of parts. Great work. The last pic is amazing.
