Thank you all for the kind words, most appreciated. It was an enjoyable little build and I'm really happy with the results.

Excellent work, Mike. I like the color of the metal pieces, to include those wheel treads.

Mike??? senior moment there George?
The wheel treads are paper George, I added them following an excellent suggestion from Brett.

You mean you entirely built them out of paper or simply used paper to thicken plastic treads?

The wheels are metal castings. I added a strip of paper to the wheels circumferance to simulate the metal rim/tread/tire.

Karl, What a great job on the cart. Really paper treads? The paper looks great as metal, please share how you colored them. Larry |

Thanks for the kind words.
Just because it was you that asked Larry ...... I painted them silver and then dusted with chalks, the paper texture gives the look of pitted, dented metal as if they had been rolled over cobbled streets... to me anyway.

Two questions Karl.... --- Any special kind of paper used on the wheels and can you tell us what kind of paper (or brand and weight) you used? --- Are you going to start doing weathering like Chuck Doan? This wagon and jack are right there and puts you in that really special league which most of us mere mortals can only dream of being able to do.
Yep... one right fine wagon!

Thanks for the very kind words Kris, I suppose its really card rather than paper, but very thin, I used one of those very thin card folders. Although I greatly admire and am inspired by Chucks work I dont think that I have the patience or commitment to put in the amount of effort and work that Chuck does across an entire project yet. Maybe a detail here and there, but, then I want to move on.
Karl.
