I've decided on a small merchants retail store, though not sure of what yet.

15'x30' footprint.
Clapboard false front shop front
Board'n'Batton for the other walls
Corrugated roof
Small addition at the rear for storage and deliveries
Boardwalk out front

All board by board construction, all scratched.

Maybe a mock-up is need for testing...

Hmmmmm, not convinced by the colour yet, but, the 'peel' turned out quite nice, I think.

Better make up your mind - the clock is ticking.

Tick-tick, tick-tick, tick-tick ...

Hmm, one of the Ranger crackle paints with the neat effect and scary colors? Might try stirring in some light orange to tone down and counter balance the blue a bit ...

Hurry up, man, hurry up! [:-bunny]

Nope, regular craft paint.

Hmmmm, I'm not so sure about the idea of mixing in the orange Dallas, it kind of looks strange to me.... maybe I'm doing something wrong??

Thanks anyway for the suggestion...

Karl A.

Don't be too hasty. You may fall into the "Troels Kirk Vicious Cycle".

You'll be turning out structures at an alarming rate.

Slow down and smell the roses.

In a year when I have turned out a total of one scratchbuilt structure (of structure of any type for that matter), you have been cranking them out, Karl.

I like the way you have positioned the rear storage area. It has created a few 'nooks' to fill with detail items.[:-eyebrows]

Hmmm....interesting establishment. Not sure I'd buy wheels and performance parts from someone who never gets around to painting his shop.

Love the boards, Karl.
But Kevin's opinion about the reliability of this wheel builder sounds correct.
I just thought he was gonna say he would never buy wheels from a guy like him... A la Groucho.
