Here's the bare room into which I will fit the telegraph office. That really nice safe is a
kit from Scale Art Models.

If you try to fail, and you succeed, which did you do?

Bob, that is a very nice safe kit indeed. And your paint job shows it off very well.

Bob, I thought at your age now, that you would have no use for a safe.
All kidding aside the safe looks at home inside this new telegraph office.

Looks great! I like the floor treatment, and the colors of the walls/trim.

Bruce, Greg, Ray, Thanks again for your comments.

While waiting for that telegrapher to come in I mounted the structure on a small base do that
I could add a small section of sidewalk (another casting from a previous structure) and
added that figure I coverted into a 1940's era mailman. I don't know if he'll stay there but I
wanted to pose him there right now.

This also gave me the chance to get outside for a couple of photos and the colors are much more
as they are to the eye. Someday I might become a photographer, maybe.

While waiting for that telegrapher to arrive I have been working on making all sorts of small
details such as posters, books, telegraph forms,etc.etc.etc. I also finished the roof by
adding vent pipes, roof vents, and a roof access door.

It seems that every railroad station and telegraph office had a Regulator Clock. Here's
how I made mine. To be in strict order the clear piece and the one to it's right must be exchanged.

One other thing. I noticed in the first photo on this page that the top of the wall trim piece
had slipped out of alighnment and it had been bothering me, so I fixed it.

The roof looks great Bob! as does your clock sandwich.
There is one more thing you could add to the roof.
How about a carrier pigeon with a little band around his leg.

This is a photo of Boston, 1906, from Shorpy this morning. Those cast iron fronts down the
right side look a lot like my resin pieces !!!!!

It has been said, "You can find a prototype for anything".

Your secret is "safe" with me! (Lame attempt to make a Shinnie-style pun that ties in to the interior detailing ... oh well.) [:-disguise]

That pic of your building interior with the safe sitting alone in the corner, brought to mind an old bank vault I saw inside the ruins of an old bank, in the little town of Manhattan, NV. Here's the outside of the vault:

Here's the interior, with a side view of the safe sitting in the corner:

And here's the front of the safe. The main door is missing, and the interior door is damaged from someone trying to cut through it with a torch:

Sorry for the brief side trip from your topic, I hope you won't mind.

Ray, No, I don't mind at all. I find it very interesting. You will note that that old safe
is exactly like the one in my model. It is a kit from Scale Art Models.

Thanks for posting.

Sorry for not posting Bob, (I am guilty here of the one thing I don't like). [:-banghead]
I have been taking a look from time to time, and I must say you are a master and outstanding scratchbuilder from the structures and items you produce.
My hats off to you:
