Simply fantastic, Bob. For some reason it brought back a memory of a small - one chair barber shop I went to back in the early 1950's in Prospect Park, NJ.
Dad wouldn't let me go on a Saturday morning since that was the time working men got to go to the barber shop. In fact, I think that the cost of a 'kids' cut was more on Saturday morning than at other times. Another memory is dad giving me to money to hand to the barber myself.
You must be doing something right if the scene is so real that it drags those old memories up from my rusty old brain! |

Not much of a barber shop without a big jar of leaches, sigh. Guess we'll just have to settle for all those other beautiful layers of detail. |

Didn't get much done today due to some other work that had to be done. This is the start on the barber chair and I thought you would like to see it at this point.
The pedistal is turned from resin and the back is sawn from a resin block. The seat frame is built up sheet styrene and the arm rests are of course pieces if styrene strip.
Hopefully next time it will look more like a barber chair.

That looks Fantastic Bob! And again, something that would have taken us, mere mortal modelers, days, perhaps even weeks to complete. You have done in less time then it takes to pump up & then lower this very nice barbers chair. It also gave me a feeling of dejavu, then I remembered your Dentist chair you did awhile back. You did do one right?

Not to mention months, years ...
Meanwhile, WOW! Now, I'd like to see Steve Martin pop in and sing "Be a Dentist" ... (oops, wrong occupation ... it was the chair that frightened me!)
Really nice work ... look forward to seeing the inside from the outside. |

Sweet! The chair turned out great (just like everything else in the scene)!
But shouldn't that glass jar with the comb in it, have some blue Barbasol? :)

Thanks Bob! I will have a red one! I can't wait to see Mr.Zimmerman the barber & his lucky first customer, who gets to sit in this nice new chair.
