| NICE job on laying out the various decals -- varying type styles, colors, ornate trim bits and so forth. |

They look great. I hadn't seen decals like them offered by anybody and they were perfectly sized to their location. That is the only thing that gave them away as home brew. I make my own too. Do you use an ALP printer for the white? I use the stencil on white decal paper method myself.

This note just because I wanted to tell you about a product that I just tried and it sure works as advertised. I have no connection with GrassTech, just a very happy customer.
I have resisted static grass for many years because I work in 1/24 scale and while static grass seems to look good on Ho and O scale layouts, it just didn't look like the grass blades were long enough to look good with 1/24 scale. GrassTech offers a less expensive applicator for $39.95 and I have found that it works just great. I used longer static grass, 6mm from SILFLOR and a 2mm/6mm blend from NOCH, and they both look FANTASTIC. I can't believe how well this inexpensive tool works.

I haven't entered anything for a while, been busy with some 1/1 scale stuff around the house and some non-railroad modeling, but I did sneek in some work on a little watchman's shanty. Garden Raiways magazine releases a scale drawing of some subject each issue and a previous issue had the drawings for this shanty plus a mention back to an old Model Railroader where the drawings first appeared. I liked it so I made one of the six sides from styrene and then made the mold to cast six resin copies. I cut an opening for the door and made a styrene door.

Here's the six sides glued together, ready for some clean-up and the roof. Cheers, Bob

Nice! Hope you didn't get too vexed or "hexed" trying to work out the joints in those walls. |

Wow what a marvelous watchman's shanty Bob! You seem to like the No.6, 6 Macks 6 sides 6 letters in sgtbob. Now that you have you have the molds made up. When is Sgt. Bob's first kit #6 "The Watchman"s Shanty" due for release?

Bob,
I just found your thread on the dentist chair.
My friend Max Corey used to work at a dentist's office when he was a kit in South America.
His job was to walk on a small treadmill which was used to power the dentist's drill.
