While I do not have any good photos or drawings of the "office" of the crane,
there were enough photos in the crane catalog so that I could
gather the clues and come up with something that has the look of it, at least to my eye.

What you can't see in these photos are the drums further back in the cab
to take up the cables for the boom and bucket.
I'll try to get some light in there for a better photo.

The boom looks like straight forward build and then a bit of rigging
so it looks like this build will soon be completed.
I may find time for some fun details.

Well, here it is all together. I still want to add a bunch of tools and junk but the vehicle is basically completed.

Tyson, Mark, and George, Thanks for the comments, all much appreciated. As mentioned, It's not quite finished.
I like to set it aside for a few days to think about it and look it over. I see quite s few additions to make it complete.
There are a few places where the paint needs a bit of touch-up, there needs to be a new cable- a trip line to control
the opening of the clamshell, some odd tools laying around, maybe a grease bucket, some personal items for the
driver such as a folded newspaper, a lunch box, maybe a pack of cigarettes, etc.
Cheers,
Bob

Here's the completed model.

Here it is with that steamshovel.

And, just fooling around I made it a black and white photo
to compare it wil the prototype.
Other than the fact that I chose to show it with
the clamshell bucket, it's not too far off.

Now to choose the next project ..............
Cheers,
Bob

Bob, congratulations on a fine looking model.
The clamshell bucket is excellent.
As always I'm looking forward to seeing your next project.

Added a folded newspaper (scanned from a real one from the time period),
a old beat-up lunch box (sheet styrene),
and a pack of Camels (made from a scan of a real pack).

Rick and Mark, Thanks for the comments, all much appreciated.
Now on to the next project - but that presents a problem. As I have said before,
modeling in 1/24 scale results in very big models and I am getting to the point that
any new project will have to be a replacement for an old project, I am running out of room.
I do have some ideas of replacing structures that were quickly made back in the beginning.
This old brain is working................

Bob your work is very inspiring.
You must have to buy your styrene in 4x8 foot sheets!
Hope you post more builds
