Actually, Mark you hit it right on the nail as to why I am doing this.

Bill and I had a good e mail exchange. I will try some of his ideas to see if I can flush out the gremlins. It could be a lot of things. Wiring error on my part (likely), mechanical, programming (unlikely) etc.

Bill checked the prgram and cannot see anything wrong. I rechecked the wiring to make sure they are hooked to the proper pins, etc. The switch lever at OS 137 is set for normal and the turnout is thrown that direction. The signal lever at OS 137 is to the left for westbound traffic so that looks correct.

I hope to get back to this tonight.

NO! Remember I still know where you live!

Where is the threat in that since you and Joey have a standing invite to come over? Geeze, I was just trying to help.

Joe, stick your hand out, get it cut off. You know how it works. We are waiting for Huebers schedule to work out. I'm easy this time of year. How is Tiff doing to digress?

I know. I'm sorry.

So Tiff is doing fantasic! Blood work numbers continually come back great and she is feeling very good. She has returned to driving and the lifting restrictions should be lifted in few weeks. Thanks for asking.

Joe, I am always thinking of her. Great news.

Today, I got signal lever 160 to work and it's associated LED's. That's 4 of em working. Still no luck with signal 1371 nor have I heard from Hueber on panel fronts.

Panel maker contacted me on Thursday. Said call Monday after noon and see if it's finished. Don't understand what the delays are, but the lines will be straight (wasn't happenin' with my eyes)and should look good. Hueber

With a wedding i Hazleton yesterday and visits to 3 wineries and a seafood festival today, not much was done.

The lousy news is yesterday my digital camera crapped out. So no pictures until it gets fixed or...yuk, replaced.

I did have time to solder the 5 wires to the 2 pole 6 position rotary that Bill had be purchase. I installed in on the panel. Now to connect it to ground and 4 inputs as Bill has programmed. I'll finish that tomorrow night.

I have had no luck in getting my first set of signals to work. Conrail Bill is proposing a plan that I will follow and work on tomorrow. It requires that I bring the SMINI upstairs next to the SUSIC and computer. Hope it goes well. I'm pulling my none existent hair out! Hueber is supposed to come over with the panel fronts and maybe levers. That would be good. This vice grip thing is getting very old.

Hueber, whose new nickname is "captain" (thanks Mark) picked up that panel yesterday and all I can say is OMG! Captain will post them soon I hope.

I got 3 more switch levers to work and the diagnostic switch working. I think. I have almost the entire left side of the CTC machine working up to Solomons Gap. I still need to install the wiring for the code buttons and manual control toggles.

As soon as captain got home he let me know the levers arrived in the mail. Figures. I need to hook up with him ASAP as I said this vice grip thing is a PIA!

No further progress on signals.

I got the emails last night and the panels look great! "Captian" did a good job.

That's good news on the CTC machine too.

Captain has been working on this for 4 years just in case we ever "built" a CTC machine. He done good! Unfortunately Captain opened up the package containing the levers and they have a set screw from the front! No way they attach to the rotary levers, Captain is going to call CTC parts and see what's up.

Ralph, sorry I didn't make it over last night, but I'll get over there one day this week. I'm dying to see these in person.

Since the "Captain" sent out pics to everyone, I'm taking it upon myself to post them here for all to enjoy.

First, an overview of all three sections.

And closer look at the center section

Not a bad job if I say so myself! Now to get them installed.

Mark

Some good news. Bill gave me a signal test program to run the pins on the SMINI through their indications. It worked! I got green, red, yellow, and dark just when I was supposed to. I could not get the same results on signal lever 137. I know I should not be able to get yellow because there is nothing one block ahead, but I should be able to get red.

I finished switch lever 160 today. Now all I need to do is install the manual control stuff and the code buttons. I need to build some more DIN 32 and DOUT32 cards. I need more power Scotty! I hope to have some signals working soon!
