Jon & Neil are both correct. The kitchen and family room are to be painted next week along with the front porch. That will slow this down,
Neil, I don't understand half of what I'm doing...but if you ask and it's the half I understand; I'll answer the question.[:-bigeyes] |

Nothing done yesterday. Maybe today with thunderstorms predicted. That will prevent a jump in the pool.
Yesterday saw the arrival of the long awaited Vol 1 of the CMRI model railroaders application manual. I only glanced at it, but it looks like it was well worth the wait. Vol 2 will come along in about three weeks according to Bruce. That will be a good one too! |

IT WORKS! The switch motor at Rockport OS 137 works. Drove me nuts, but I figured it out. I hooked up a test machine at Rockport and it worked perfectly. Hook up the in place machine ... a big nothing!
I was reluctant to pull out the machine as I had to remove a 8 ft piece of fascia, and the machine is right next to a crossmember making it's reintallation a PIA! I took it down, hooked up the wires...still nothing!
Examining the two machines the test machine had 560 ohm resistors. The installed machine had 1200 ohm resistors which worked perfectly with the DS54's. So I changed out the 1200 ohm resistors and replaced them with 560 ohm 1/2 watt ones and it worked! So 1200 ohms is way to much to use. It means I will have to change out the resistors on all my machines.
The other issue I am having is the machine reverses from throwing the switch lever on the CTC machine without pushing the code button. I have an e mail in to Bill to review things.
I am going to go back downstairs and see if I can get the signals to work. Exciting times.

Great progress Ralph! That must be exciting!
So I talked to Heuber yesterday and broke his stones for you. Still no schematic, huh? I don't think he thought you would get this far! |

How'd ya do that? He is the ultimate girly man.[:-devil] Yea, he is now officially holding me and Bill up. As soon as it gets cooler this month, I am going to build the remaining DIN32 and DOUT32 cards I have in my possession. I have a lot of things to hook up on the machine. |

| I got in touch with the owner of the company that is making the board. He said it should be done next Monday. Stop breaking my balls, you both (Mark and Ralph) have a lot of work to do. Hueber |

Yeah, just a little! He doesn't like it when we get to ask HIM 'what have you gotten done lately'? |

Perfectly stated!
I went downstairs to check the fit in the signal head of the 3mm LED's that came yesterday. Big stooge here screwed up and ordered 3 lead LED's by mistake. Oh well. I tested the color and they looked good. So I ordered 100 2 lead LEDs. The 5MM LED's tested nice for color and will fit perfectly in the panels...oh wait, I don't have any panels. |
