Cool! Looking very nice Dallas.

How about a mousetrap? I'm just trying to think of how to give that look of stuff all around the floor

Built a waterfront HO layout in Ireland http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22161 but now making a start in On30 in Australia

Wow if you zoom down to that level of detail at that scale even at your fast pace you could be working on this diorama for a year or more! But I agree with everyone its going to be really something. Fun watching you thanks!!!

Hi Super nice work.
Where do you get the Vector Cut tools from?
I did a Yahoo search that came up dry.

Thank you

Bob

Mike -- Indeed! Somehow, the more I do, the more I find TO do ... so the only prediction at this point is: this may take a while. And, somehow, that seems okay ... enjoying the various challenges along the way.

Neil -- Mousetrap ... great idea! Imagine there will be a fair amount of clutter creeping into the floor space ...

Bob -- Use the link eTraxx posted .... and just to repeat, have a look around www.VectorCut.com -- lots of neat stuff for HO, O, etc.

Dallas,
I read this thread every time you post which is quite often and while I don't post often I sure do laugh a lot.

Since you are thinking about mouse traps does that mean you will have some critters roaming around the place.[:-bigeyes]

Dallas

You are obviously in serious need of some counseling. Whatever the state of your your current mental stability however, you are opening eyes to some ideas some of us may have have thought of, but have not had the guts to attempt. I know I am liking what I see and others are too. Keep up the effort and the final product will be a sure award winner (unless your wiring creates a short in the middle of the night and burns down the garage)!

Great effort on your part!!!! Thanks for helping push us all to be better modelers.

While waiting for the Vector Cut parts to arrive, I assembled some photo-etched tools from Verlnden ...

So, Mr. Mudgeon is starting to accumulate a collection of tools and toolboxes ... he's looking for a hammer and nails so he can do something about the missing walls in the place!

We took some time out to learn to read Czech ...

And, even after all that, it was still pretty challenging to put all the separate little photo-etched hingy bits on these toolboxes from Plus Model ... but they're close enough ...

The Vector Cut tool sets arrived while these bits were underway ... the parts look great and there should be plenty to fill up those toolboxes and scatter around the table tops, etc. Hope to start getting in to those soon ... and, yes, there will be more walls eventually!

Fabulous topic, Dallas. And fabulous work on this project.
Do you have an internet link for these Czech goodies?

Hi Frederic --

The home site for Plus Model is:
http://www.plusmodel.cz/

That site does not allow on-line ordering, but Plus Model and a couple other Czech companies have a shopping site here:
http://www.modelchoice.net/

Shipping from that site to the US is a bit expensive ... hope it works better for you. If not, you might look for seller name panther_models_ltd on UK ebay for a good selection. (I've noticed that they carry a good selection and postage rates seem reasonable, but I haven't actually ordered anything from those folks. Got my items from Mission Models in the US, but they have a pretty limited selection.)
