Cool...well probably cold. So being a Montana type and trout only for most of my years..one cooks up these fish? as in Frying? they look a bit small.

Good morning everyone, wow Tom just looking at the photos makes me cold, after living on the West Coastfor the last 30 yrs I couldn't take it, here in Oregon they just tallied up the Dec. Crab harvest and they just hit 14 million pounds, by the end of the month should be an all time record! Those guys have it bad, they make good money but the Oregon Coast in Dec. with 20 to 40 foot swells and 40 degree temps is no fun, every year we lose at least one boat and crew.
I just been a lurkin here in the lounge and stopped to say Hey! I don't have anything really worth posting, working on my boiler house, actually the boiler and engine, Very Challenging!! I have been ballasting my RR in the breaks from that project and have finally gotten about a third of it done. Very time consuming what with painting the ties and ballasting turnouts but it's looking good, tired of the old flex track look.
Well have a great day everyone and stay warm Tom, by the way Geezer that is one beautiful spot to have your layout and what a wonderful house!!! Jerry

Hi guys..same ole same ole for me. Made it through Christmas and just figured out what was wrong with my wife car. I just spent 100 bucks on the wrong part. It turned out a 15 dollar fuel filter was causing the grief.

Have a great day! It looks like some great project are on the tables.

Good afternoon everyone,

Cold here today after a couple of days hovering around the freezing mark.

Tom, Nice catch of perch, got to wait a couple more days before we can get on the ice to fish. Les, they are great eating and I pan fry mine in a beer batter. Love the "railcar"

Managed to get some work dome on the layout last night so will post pictures later.

Have a great day everyone.

The vehicle is a Snow-Bear ....

http://www.snow-bear.com/

The perch we catch are about 10 - 12" long. We fillet them and then pan fry. Cover with batter and spices of your choice. We use live maggots for bait.

Unfortunatly Larry, there are not any fish that can survive in that shallow water.

I think when my wife tried to make Christmas cookies I might have bitten on of those by mistake.

Re the decoder.. put it away until you finish the green bottle and all will be clear![:-eyebrows]

Tom, Those are some nice fish, it sounds like you've been having some quality time with family. After living 25 years in Michigan's Upper Pennisula, I was spoiled by good fishing.I tried fishing these farm ponds around here but found it to generally be a waste of perfectly good dynamite. Actually there are some nice bluegills and sunfish, and the ice is starting to form. Now where did I leave those blasting caps? Tsp.

Tom, nice perch. We had some for our christmas dinner at my mom's. Makes my mouth water, just thinking about them. I tried ice fishing a couple of times, just about froze to death. I prefer fishing on liquid water where i can move around when the fish arn't biting, instead of sitting in one spot, waiting and waiting for them to fine my bait.

Yesterday I worked a couple of hours tweaking my layout design and then worked a couple of hours in the train room on the light valance and getting ready to do some ceiling and backdrop painting today.

Had a blook test yesterday and the good news is that my hemoglobin count has gone up 1 point since leaving the hospital. Life is good.

It's been sunny, but cold here.

Hope you all have a good day.

Jim
