I received a couple messages from folks asking me to participate in this forum. I have been a member for quite a while but haven't posted much as I tend to post my regular progress on my blog. So if you are curious about the progress on my O scale layout depiciting the American Civil War era check out my blog at http://usmrr.blogspot.com

Here are some shots from my blog showing some of the scenes that are further along. It's still very much a work in progress.

That's a fantastic layout!

I really like the overall look of what you have done this far and the backdrops look very realistic. I also really like the Potomac bridge.

Great stuff!

Built a waterfront HO layout in Ireland http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22161 but now making a start in On30 in Australia

Bernie,

I've been following your blog for months and although I was disappointed that you'd left the N scale world, you're creating another wonder in O.

I'm using your C&O Brooke Yard trackplan as the basis for my DELMARVA based N scale layout (on this forum Eastern Shore in N). Thank you for the inspiration and I look forward to watching the progress of your USMRR.

Bernard, I took a look at your blog as well. Lots of good modeling and historical information. I will visit your blog more in future to look through your older posts as well as keep track of your new progress.

I do hope you continue to post progress here as well.

I'd like to see your track plan to see how you adapted it to work for you. Can you post it or send a copy?

I like the way the scenery blends into the backdrop in the second picture. The backdrop is painted, right? Oil or acrylic?
