Thanks everybody. The LP looking in the window is a modified hobo (cut off the fish in his hand) from the Woodland Scenic set of hobos. Thanks for the poster suggestion - I can never get too many posters and signs.

Hey, Scott,

Great job. Looks real good.

I like the detail ........ and the ex-hobo.

Any figure gives a scene life, I think, instead of it being 'dead'.

Keep up the good work.

Rich

I finally finished Ben Woody Pluming Supply (another business for my wharf area) and thought I would share. Looks like I got a little heavy with the dry brush. However, in the "room" light it does not look nearly so heavy. I also detailed around the supply shed including "fixing" a hole in the roof. I am really pleased with the way the signs on the back wall turned out. Scott

Scott, both buildings are looking great, the siding doesn't look bad at all.

looks great, and i wouldnt say the weathering is too heavy, it is near a wharf after all :) the supply shed is neat, i like the patch on the roof ;)

Hey, Scott,

Looks real good. I like it.

Got some good lines.

Where did you get the plan for the main bldg.? Is it something out of a railroad magazine or your idea ?

Rich: I always use pictures of other buildings as inspiration, but typically the design evolves into something relatively unique. I keep a clip file of pictures (from magazines and on line) to get the juices flowing, Then I just start laying it out to fit the space, make a mockup and adjust until I think it looks right. Then I use the mockup as a base and build up from there. Scott

Scott,

That is a great bit of scratch building. The plumbing supply will fit right into your setting.
