Scott / Dave -

Great videos. Thanks for posting pictures of your cam car. The lead/chase train idea sounds cool.

Yep, we did have a good time. Thanks, Gents! (And the strongest thing we had to drink was iced tea. For two Squids and a Coastie that would be considered pretty lame, except for the fact that runnin' trains is more fun than drinkin'. (And it's too difficult to see anyway, why make it more difficult?!)

As mentioned earlier, John and Marc came by to run some trains today on my home layout. We made up a nine string log train combined from three of my log cars and Marc's Climax and six log cars he recently detailed - Great cut timber Marc. Marc also ran a Shay and John ran another Climax and new 4-6-0. A C-16 was used to pull a string of passenger cars. We had a good time watching the Climax work its way out of the town and up the 3-percent grade. Attached are a few select pictures from the runs. Scott

I am going to try to make it. I will be coming back from L.A. that Fri night. I have missed the past couple of years. It looks like a good time.

As mentioned a few pages earlier, I have been working on a mine complex in a neglected corner of my layout. Attached are some progress pictures of "Preparing the area", Quick Sketch Study as my guide, and under construction. Scott

It looks like a nice complex, Scott, and a great way to fill this open space. I love your choice of having numerous small buildings as though the complex had grown over the years. If I may add a suggestion (to which you may have already thought), you can give another hint of this by varying the covering, the colour and the weathering of the various buildings.
