Martin,

The hinges are very small and non operational. Don't drop one on the floor as you will never find it or at least I didn't. [:-magnify]

The screen door, storm door and window shutters are put in place for picture only, not glued in.

Roof is on the kitchen. May leave the boards brown or I may add tape and paint flat black for tar paper. I will wait until the main roof is complete ....

Needs a chimney ...

Tom
The buildings look good, you know you can come back in and grain the wood with a wire brush, xacto and sharp point if you want to? I do like the stain and the window treatment. I have to finish the windows on the my project.

I like this wall, Tom. Very nice. The openings are really interesting and well done.

Really nice developments! (well not the last photo though... After having lived in Norway for 21 years I've come to hate winters with a deep passion, and this seems to become the second really hard winter in a row...)

Looking good Tom..

Troels, I am surprised to see you say that. If you hate winter, why aren't you living further south?

The boarding of the roof is finished. Now to decide if I will tar (felt) paper it.

While pondering that issue I need to add two chimneys, build an out house or two, and a fire wood box.

Tom, Tuesday I went thru about 300 post cards of old logging pictures. All the ones of cook house's had tar paper roofing, some with battens and some with out. They even had window shutters simular to yours and some had the shutters on the inside. They all had open ceiling spaces. Most used full logs for roof beams in liew of sawed timbers.
