Thanks Gary and Danny.
Gary, nothing to apologize about and I've seen your pictures posted here and they were all quality.
I use Photoshop CS3. It is my weakest link in photography. I should take some classes and learn how to use it better.
I've also used Nikon's CaptureNX and it is much easier to use and does a fantastic job. Also much cheaper than Photoshop.
I have heard a lot of great things about Lightroom. I think there are a couple of threads about it in the Photography Forum. |

Thanks Rick. I have not installed the CaptureNX, but have a "trial" version. If it is easier, I am going in that direction . Danny |

Hi All
A lot of great photo's. I have some sunsets and a sunrise I would like to share but have not a clue how to get the pictures down to you. Hints anyone. Where are the instructions.
As I say many times, I write software but do not have a clue how to use it ;)

Danny, let me know what you think after you've tried it. If you go to Nikon's site there are video's that show how to use Capture. |

Ah! The secret is 'Reply to Topic' not the quick reply[:-banghead]
Here are a few of my favorite pictures.
All taken with an early Canon S30. Amazing what you can do with 3 mega-pixels
There is still a problem. so will try later.[:-censored]

Aha. A bit of a struggle but I succeeded sort of. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
This is the sunset taken just outside Siena Italy October 27, 2002 the dat after Mount Etna erupted in Scicily. I was stopped in traffic so thought I would make use of my time.

My wife took this through the window of a moving car in August 2004. I was pleased with how it turned out.

A few minutes later I stopped to get this one.

The following day I was blessed with another wonderful sunset in southeeastern Manitoba

2005 found us in Vermont. An equally beautiful Sunset.

2006 we wnet to the Gaspé Penninsula in Quebec. I got these shots between 5:00 AM and 5:30 AM It was worth the early rising.

Lastly on a different theme a shot of a flow growing in the sulphur and heat of the Yellowstone Paint pots. I held the camera beside the boardwalk and took a blind shot. Some of us are born lucky

Thankyou for giving me a place to share these. |

| Bob, your sea shots, as well as the last one with the hiking trail are very nice. I especially like that showing the Gaspé Peninsula. |

We just got back from a trip to Greece & Turkey. I'm still going through the 1025 photos I took, but here's what I sent to friends as an e-postcard. It's the view from our hotel window:
