Steve, it's either the lighting or the processing you did but your picture looks like an old post card. I like it.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Rick, I guess I was just lucky because believe it or not the picture is just a scan of a 35 mm 4x6 print I had processed at my local supermarket (similar to Walmart).

Steve, it's like I always say, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Just goes to show what the most important aspect of photography is, lighting.

One on my favorite photographers, Joe McNally says "If you want to take photos of interesting things then put yourself in front of interesting things."

Looks like Steve has accomplished this simple task.

Rich, may I suggest that you and others who contribute to this thread also state the camera used and if possible the focal length of the lens, aperture speed, f opening and ASA.

Perhaps viewers of the exceptional photos you and others contribute can learn more about the art and science of photography besides composition.

This thread has shown that creativity behind a camera lens continues to abound.

Haven't been outside with my camera for a while and since it was a nice day I did a little walking around Bordentown, NJ. This rusty old lock caught my eye.

You know Rick, most of us would simply walk right by that old rusty thing and not give it much thought, but it caught your eye, your focused in on it and snapped it! WOW! That is an interesting picture, rich with detail. Very cool!
