Well today was a great day to progress the pool hall/bakery. I decided to work on the interior. My friend Grant Knowles sent me a JPG of wall paper and I searched the NET for JPG pool hall stuff such as the ball rack, cue rack and score board as well as the classic dogs shooting pool. I 3D'ed them using styrene backing and some paint. I downloaded some wainscotting and then did the trim with some wood.

The walls are just dry fitted here to get an idea of positioning.

While I got a chance to see Chris's pool table close up at our operating session last night, it really looks awesome placed in the setting with the wallpapered walls and wainscotting. Hey Chris, that was a great idea for the pool cue racks and the wall mounted ball holder. Your pictures of the dogs on the wall certainly bring back fond memories for me as my mother had that entire set framed when I was a little boy growing up! Great job, Chris! [:-thumbu][:-thumbu]

Chris, That does look awesome indeed! I see the bottle of Aleene's Tacky Glue in the background of one of your photos. Great stuff--I have been using it for at least five years. I am curious about the vertical thing that looks like a slot in the upper part of the pool room wall. What is it?

Stu. The slot is part of the roof construction. There is a square part that cuts across half the building then to the front. If you look at Bob's finished product on the previous page you can see what I mean.

Hi Chris,
Had a great time on Friday night, lots a fun switching with Fred...and meeting the gang again.
The (Jake's ..?) Pool Hall is coming along great, the details are fitting together nicely. Paul.

Thanks Paul. I am not sure about the name and I found some interesting signs that I put in on the right side of the building.

Chris, Outstanding interior and with the large windows this should be easily viewed.
Since I have a pool hall in the plans for a future structure I have saved this thread for reference.
Are the pool table and figures made commercially? |

Hi John. The players are converted from two sets. The leaning guy was from an the priser sitting figures. just rotated him. The second was one from the woodland scenics locomotive repair crew. The pool table was a two part metal casting from Scale Structures Limited. The cues are also included. I bought it at CSS08 from "My Dad's Trains". He had more but they were in a big pile of stuff. Maybe they can find one in their bin and send it to you.

Thanks for the comments guys. I put the walls together and mounted the scene ...just to have a look. Next step will be the details on the front and rihgt side. Also have to do the special door wall assembly.

I will definitely install some LED lights in this one.
