I was looking for outlets that might sell the Scotch-Brite wood polishing pads in Holland by mail order (or failing that, Dutch merchants that sell them by any method). In particular I was hoping to find a way to buy the pads more economically than the price as individual pads by instead buying via some sort of multi-pack.
Unexpectedly, or accidentally, I came across:
http://catalogue.3m.eu/nl-nl/nl-mro/Handmatig_schuren/Handpads_op_rol/Scotch-Brite%E2%84%A2~Pre-Cut_handpads_op_rol~CF-SR/Scotch-Brite%E2%84%A2~Pre-Cut_handpads_op_rol~A07904
Is there anyone with experience of these and are they materially the same as the single pad type ?
My activity is N-gauge trees.
There is a search engine Where to Buy on the 3M Holland website, but no way was I able to get the search engine to come up with a merchant that actually is in the 3M database as a retailer of that specific product.
The formal product title is
Scotch-Brite™ Pre-Cut handpads op rol CF-SR
I mention that in the picture, the designation of the item shown is MX-SR, not quite the same as CF-SR

I am in Danmark, not Holland, which in some cases makes it surprisingly complicated to buy things from Holland as Holland uses something called iDeal in internet commerce, whereas Danmark does not.

Overhere most of these beechtrunks are quite "clean"....when growing in the mountains were high humidity( like fog etc.) is more common the trunks should be more "weathered"with lychen/green stuff.....;-)

I'll look in my woods for a mature native beech. In New England the bark also stays clean; I haven't seen lichen on them even in the mountains where it covers the spruce & fir. But we have small knots & eyes in the trunk's bark from long-gone twigs. Oh, and yes, I admire your work. |

I found an old kit for tree making which I must have purchased eons ago! Anyway it has all the wires in it etc. So I decided to try their instructions... This is for a large O scale tree. The wire and branches are OK?... but when I added the covering to the truck and branches (which is supposedly putty and water mixture..) it goes on great but breaks off where it is thick. So then I spray painted it but some bits still flaked off - to now I have mixed up some more of the mixture with glue/water/paint. Lets see how this turns out.... I have taken a photo but I have forgotten how to add a photo into the posting and I'm not at home up north I'm relaxing in Florida for the winter so I don't have all my notes with me. Can someone please refresh my memory how to add a photo to a posting? Thank you Angela |

Hello Angela, mostly I use "photobucket.com "or something like that.... Now you've made me curious about that treeframe....
and of course a picture of some fresh new N scale pines (european style...?)
and some HO stuff:trunks are still wett because of the terpintin...to remove the grassfibers or fine turf
