Thank you Håkan ,

I used the leaves from NOCH. I cannot find the yellow ones any more on their website....=( but may be the autumnleaves(= "herbstlaub") will do as well..)
NOCH Artikel-Nr 07168 Herbstlaub-Set, gelb, rot, rotbr.,herbstorange.
I colored the yellow leaves with dark"redbeech"kind of Humbrol paint and a lot of terpintin so the leaves will absorb the deluted darkredpaint. Just add as much as the leaves will stay "almost"dry...so at first do not add to much of the deluted paint ..It is better to add small amounts to have controll over the substance of the leaves and the paint. ( wenn it looks like porridge...you added to much of the deluted paint!! lol)
I let it dry on a ( warm , calm, sunny day outside. So this mostly done in summer=)otherwise the rooms in the entire house will smell after terpintine!

Jos

Jos
If you hadn't commented on the size, plus seeing your finger, I would have bet it was a much bigger scale.
EXCELLENT!!!

Great as usual, Jos.
Simple curiosity : is the background building N scale or a real one put in good perspective?

Tanks Martin, Ralph, Edward, Carlo and Frederic.
The background building is actually our house...I am standing in the backyard .
It was end of october and the sun was going down fast so I had to hold the tree low so that the sunlight hit the lowertrunk and of course also our house.....and indeed:in the middle of our street!

Just some small stuff today:
well actualy its a big shrub so not that small.....3 inches
outside in sunlight:

Inside art.light:

Frame of floristic wires covered with claydust/whiteglue and added( electrostatic) 12 mm Fibers and some 6 and at the end , before adding the leaves, the 2 mm Fibers.
leaves are from Polak.
They look like coarse turf from Woodland but are just a litlle bit tinier/smaller/lighter....
it al took about , when frame is ready, 4 minutes to make.

Wonderful Jos! When I showed my wife the picture of your latest creations she insisted that they must be real.

Trying to make some 0 scale pinetrees...
Lot of the technics are "stolen" from overhere and other MRR fora...[:-angel]
So the trunk has to be more detailed and larger/other kind of grassfibers has to be used.
So I start to experiment with these items.
Did start with modelling the trunk.
It is made of a strong floristic wire covered with some layers of sawdust ...dryed.....covered with modelling pasta ( stiff brush)out of a tube and made the texture with a small selfmade( rake= just twisting some fine floristic wires together...that's all.
Moving the rake carefully up or down when pasta is still wett:
(The preiserman is in H0 scale

These pinetrees do have still the H0 kind of trunks/frames but the foliage is , well I think it could be in 0 scale.....

The small O scale tree in the center something closer:

From the view of a preiserman/woman/child:

Made some progress about the 0 scale pine tree....
Comparing with H0 or N that's what I'm used to, it is huge! My workbench is to small!
Preiserman in H0 scale
The painted frame of the tree:

Added the 12 mm, 6mm and the 2 mm grassfibers.
Between each layer of grassfibers I blow them "down" with air from out a ( ratlle)can, so they all point to the ground.
Colered the branches with the fibers with dark green sprayed from the bottom and kahki from above/ the top. On the left a H0 pinetree 7 inches.

closer:

I added add the needles this evening...was hesitating between very fine turf from SW or real needles like the 0,5-1 mm grasfibers( SILFLOR)using static. gun...
Staying with the very fine turf green grass from WS.
Sorry about the quality of the pictures...hope to make better ones tomorrow in day/sunlight!
