Happy anniversary, Verne. It's really a nice, creative layout.

Progress continues on the Jumping Jackalope. I have wired up the freight box, so the battery-powered marker lights and the backup light are all working properly.

Over last weekend, I added an engineer (the E&SG crews never heard of a 'motor man') and passengers to give the railbus some life. Getting the bus reassembled was a bit of a challenge, with the pesky end doors wanting to fly out of their hinge retainers. I finally got it together after exercising my vocabulary a bit! [:-bigeyes]

Tonight I added the custom decals I had printed last week. Here is the Jumping Jackalope in its unique livery.

The lettering, and passengers enjoying the ride, add a lot of character to the railbus.

Here is the freight box, with the Jumping Jackalope artwork. Those big decals had me sweating a bit to get all of the creases and bubbles out...each of the two decals tore a bit, but it would be hard to tell once the decal setting solution did its job.

Next up, wiring the two sections together. Then I wire the headlight LED to connections in the roof PC board, give the model a clear overcoat and final weathering. Then the final stirrups, grab irons and details and it's finished. [:-cowboy]

A very nice train, Verne. Fine signage, and the motto is good.

Egg salad! If you say that in a Peter Lorry voice, it sounds like "excellent." If you're old enough to know who Peter Lorry is, well ...

Now, I "know" that the trailer was borrowed from a goose and the front part is ye olde Bachmann railbus ... but what you've done here is "magic" ... it looks ONLY like a Jumping Jackalope unique to the AV&W. Well done!

Nice job Verne.

I also see that you have an article coming up in the Sept/Oct 2012 NG&SLG.

Congratulations on that one. Keep up the excellent work.

Who needs a Galloping Goose when you have a Jumping Jackalope. Love it!
