Here is a photo of the Atlas 1936 Chrysler. This is the Gunmetal Gray which is sold out.

Here are some shots of preproduction pieces from River Point Station. The Ford F350 crew cab dually and the crew cab with two tone paints both soon to be released. I may have said this before but in my opinion, these are probably the most prototypically accurate models in 1/87 available.

Yes, I could see a couple of those trucks too, Chester, but man, W/S is getting up there in their pricing! Anyway, I wonder if the model truck really comes with half-flat tires like shown in the image..... |

I would assume the flat tires are part of the deal Al. And unfortunately like everything else in life, our vehicle models are going to start costing us a bit more in the near future for a number of reasons and especially those that are coming from China according to some of the manufacturers reps that I talk to. |

I agree about the wheels Paul. The model A was a strange choice in the first place for Athearn. The Visicoach is a great model however. Nice to see some buses from that era done well. Look forward to even more nifty stuff from them soon. |

Chester,
I wrote Athearn about the wheels on their Model A. I mentioned that the most common complaint among modelers is their wheels. I also mentioned that I new they could be cast finer because Jordan has been able to do it.
I have not received an answer & do not expect to. I just think if enough mention this that maybe they will do something.
It may not help but at least I can say I tried.

Just fyi, a little BMW history, the Dixi was their first venture into car building. These cars are really small. After having quite a few Ricko pieces in hand recently I just have to add that their quality is just spectacular. |

Scuttlebutt has it that Athearn is coming out with an Ottawa yard tractor very soon. An interesting addition to their lineup that will feature some photo etched parts. Also a truck bed mounted crane that will probably go over big with the MOW crowd. I have seen preproduction photos of it and itt is stunning. Pictures here when available. |
