I see it's been a while sine I posted to this thread, I finally found it on page 9. [:-bigeyes]

I'm a couple of weeks late posting this but better late than never I always say.

After a few operating sessions I decided to add a dedicated team track in Clearwater. Combining the teal tract on the same spur as Adams Stave & Box Co. added a lot of switching moves in Clearwater and really slowed down the operation of the railroad with trains in Mosquito Flats having to wait a long time while the crew in Clearwater completed their work.

The revised trackplan showing where the new team track is located.

THe rail and ties removed at the location of the new switch.

The new roadbed for the team track laid and the ties glued down and stained.

The trackwork completed.

The first cars delivered to the team track.

Team Track is a track on a railroad that isn't assigned to one company, but is more a place where everyone can have cars shipped to. Team Tracks sometimes have loading ramps at the end so a load on a flatcar like Tractors could be unloaded easily by driving them off. Some companies in the steam to steam-diesel transitional era would get a load of a product like wood stoves, ship the car to town, put a sign on the car and would sell right out of the box car until it was empty. Then move on to the next town. Very versatile track to have on a railroad.

Oh and Ron that looks great. :)

This makes for what looks like an interesting corner of your layout with plenty of operational possibilities.

Ron - The team track is a cool idea!!!
More revenue!!! I am glad to see you making progress on the trackwork
as well.....THe plan looks good too, I know when I get
back to the other side of my layout, I will take more time planning.
Thanks for the updates!

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Sorry, I guess I should have explained what a team track was, but Phil did an excellent job, thank you Phil.

Arther, I know my operating crew likes working Clearwater.

Geezer, it took me three versions of the plan before I even laid one tie and it seems I'm still tweaking the plan, even though 95% of the track is laid.

No problem Ron. Let me know if you have an open house sometime, would love to stop in and see the layout when I'm in Ottawa.
