Thanks for the comments everyone, hand laying track is one of most enjoyable and relaxing part of the hobby for me.

Phillip, like Tom, I takes me about an hour to lay 3 feet of track, that is spiking every second tie. The stain I use on my ties is Minwax "Special Walnut".

Geezer, Sean has been known to by a round or two in the past.

You know spinning the story is almost as much fun as working on the railroad.

Well "Flash" has been busy and sends the following photos. It seems the track is all in at the Okanagan Lumber Company Camp #4.

Here we are, the end of the line. It looks like the track laying crew has cleaned up and is ready for the trip back to town and some well deserved "refreshments" at the Creedence Saloon.

Sean McGee is talking to the last of the track crew. It seems that Sean lost a bet on how long it would take to finish the job (Sean has been known to bet how long it would take to get the job done in order to get the men to work harder). The men are anxious to get back to town in order to collect on there bet.

Ron,

Far to clean. Something is up with the boys. Keep an eye on them.

Thanks for comments everyone.

Tom, your right, it is much too clean, but if past history is any indication, it won't stay that way very long.

Geezer, the shortie cars are made by Backwoods Miniatures and were built by my buddy Chris Lyon (LVN).

Wes, the figures I have are from McKenzie Iron & Steel, Artista and a company in Australia who's name escapes me at the moment.

I don't know a lot about On30, I am assuming that the 0-4-0 is a Bachman?

Ron, I'd have the local constable keep an eye on that crew, cause they are definately going too get rowdy tonite.

Phillip, your right about the engine, it is the new Bachmann porter equipped with sound.

Mark, knowing Sam McGee and the boys, chances are the local constable will be taking part in the festivities.

Congrats to the track crew, Ron. Flash has many good compadries! It'll be difficult running up the logging branch when I'd rather be hanging out with Suzie Q! [:-eyebrows][:-eyebrows]

Ron,
I think they are from Buffalo Landing and are part of one of the west side figure sets. If you got them an the NNCG then I am sure of it.

Nice little scenes and fun stories.

Thanks Larry, the other figures are from Buffalo Landing's west side figure set and I ordered them direct from Australia.

Mike, that's part of the problem, the boys on the track laying crew would rather be at Suzie Q's too.
