DOH! [:-banghead] I did see that post of your session in the other thread, just forgot! In any case, once again, congrats on a successful session. It's great to see a plan come together, isn't it?
As for your loop track, that is one serious modification in the name of trains! That qualifies you as a diehard modeler! Nice job! |

| I concur, Ron, a very enjoyable session; haven't operated On30 before. How about a pic of the remaining area for the extension in the loop? I can't picture the place the new extension meets up (with Mara?). |

Well it took a little longer than expected but "Big Tank Siding" is completed and installed.
Once the cork was dried it was time to add the track. Seeing as this is "hidden" trackage I cheated and used flextrack.

Rather that become a contortionist to install the wiring I did it on the bench, sort to speak.

Then came the fun part of installing the track work.

Now that the siding was installed, it was time to lay cork and rail between the existing track and the new track.

Now the old is connected with the new.

Now that the new wiring is connected to the DCC system it was time for the first train to try out the new siding.

Here is the train at the other end of the siding.

With the siding installed we are getting closer to closing the "loop" There is some benchwork to get to the door (once the bookcase is removed) and then to make the swing bridge to span the door opening.

Congrats on achieving a new milestone!
Did you ever get more info -- maker, part #-- on the corner pieces you used on your framing?
Thanks

| Congrats Ron! Now you can sit back and just watch 'em go while you work on other stuff! I do like the way you were able to build the section and then install it. Nice job! |

Ron Nice progress and it appears the completion of the 'loop' isn't to far down the line. Peter [:-kitty] |

Great job, Ron. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that has to contend with hot water heaters, furnaces, well tanks, etc. |

| Well done Ron. You guys really make a fella work to keep up! Having been tied up with family things for two weekends in a row (and three more birthdays to come in April), I've been getting stressed just thinking about all the things left to do in the next few weeks. Thanks for the pic of the remainder of the loop; that will be great for the convention. Now, off to build some more mountains. |
