Jon at one time I was going to have the L&N interchange on the layout before I realized I didn't have that much room. The Southern was making money big time with the pulpwood back then so they usually ran matched sets of GP 30's and such. But going into Murphy was pretty much a loser for the Lost & Neglected so they ran whatever they had left over, usually non-matched clapped out old Alcos. Nobody (at that time made anything for the L&N in N scale so I was on my own. The caboose and RS2 are stock except for the repaint and relettering. The C420 is a Model Power body on a Atlas GE B23-7 that I then repainted and relettered.

That's a really neat what if L&N caboose. And what a good way to get a good running C420 in N Scale. There were so many grey and yellow locomotive variations it takes a real rivet counter to get them right so yours is real good. The picture looks fine on my monitor.

Jon the paint on all of them was copied from pictures of real ones. The caboose pic was in a Model Railroader as best as I can remember.

The water is about half done at this point and what you see hasn't finished drying so hasn't completely cleared in some areas yet.

Mike, even though the water is only half done it already looks very good.
I looks like it's really flowing.
But the part where it's cascading over the edge is the best.
I don't think I've seen that modeled before.

Thanks Rick! To be honest it was easier to let it flow off the edge of the layout than to try to cut it off in mid stream.

Hi Mike,
I just finished reading the last 10 or so pages of your posts as I have been AWOL from this thread for way too long.[:-banghead][:-banghead]

I must say that you have done some outstanding modeling on this new area of the layout and like others have already posted your stream in really well done especially the run off the the edge of the layout. [:-thumbu][:-thumbu]
Some time could you post an overall view of the layout where we could see how this section is related to the rest of the layout.

Again, some outstanding modeling going on here.
