Wow! What an incredible thread this has turned into![:-thumbu]
I was doing okay until I saw the Climax photos.... then the drool started... and now I am consumed with lust and envy.....

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm a busy man. I have a railroad to run.

I don't have any new photos of mine, so these will have to do. Here is my MDC 2-truck Shay. I bought it in 1984, shortly after MDC brought out the kit, but I didn't get around to putting it together until about 7 years ago.
In the photos below, it's posed by Tunnel #1 along Millers Creek on my layout.

This is a great thread! Thanks Bruce and everyone fpr posting photos of their geared locos.
Here is a photo of my HO Scale 3 truck Shay. It is Bachmann which has a prefitted sound decoder. It sounds great and runs beautifully.

Here is my O scale Shay. Also a Bachmann, this time fitted with a sound decoder after purchase. Bachmann have done a great job with this version also.

| Boy, in the few days that I have been off-line in the logging country of Washington State, there have been some great posts added to this thread. Thanks, Barry, Carl, and Mike! |
