Thanks for the kind words guys! Lab-dad I live in the Nantahala Nat. Forest and next to the Nantahala gorge here in S.W. North Carolina. Do you live in this area also or is there a Nantahala something or another where you live? BTW Nanthala is Cherokee for what? And why do they call it that? |

Tyson, Since there are a lot of "armchair" modelers who use lack of space as their reason for not getting out of that chair, I think that an article in one of the modeling magazines is in order. Very nice work. |

Bruce trying to convince the armchair modelers that you need less space then you think is one of the reasons for starting the "Challenge". |

| Tyson, very well done. I've been thinking of doing a small switching layout, with a small yard and engine facility on one end and some lineside industries on the other. Thanks for the pictures. |

| Rick think about making the trackplan u-shaped with the yard and enginehouse on one side, the industries on the other. Multi-story buildings down the center would be your view block, or you could use a skyboard with photos and building flats. |

| Tyson, that's an interesting idea. I can see how having the view block gives the impression of having traveled a further distance away from the yard. I'll keep it in mind, thanks. |

| Rick another trick is to put a building on each side of the tracks and connect them with a enclosed overhead walkway creating a concrete, brick or wood tunnel for the train to pass thru. |
