Hi all,

1) We live in Melbourne Australia.
2) Started modelling Christmas 2002 because Suzanna (5 year old) wanted a train set. Dad even lets Suzanna play with it occasionally!
3) Main theme is Victoria Railways (very much like 1940's US diesel era from what I can tell) and UK steam era.
4) Era: 1950's
5) Our layout is currently 11' by 6' in HO.
6) Exclusively DCC as it seemed easier to start that way. Using Roco DCC starter kit which has been easy to use.
7) Just enjoying it immensely. The forum is great.

Updated with a picture from our wedding day Jan 31 2004 as I didn't post one originally.

Well one thing I can say about Mike's picture is at least they got him cleaned up! [:-bigeyes][:-bigeyes2]

I could also tell you the story of the "Three Princesses and the Mean Ole Troll" But it'd be a little long for here but this is the cover picture for the book. [:-bouncy]

Mike,

That's a wonderful looking family. I see, with relief, your daughters are images of their mother.

Rusty,

A very nice looking couple there, and you did rob the cradle.

Hi all
Thanks for taking the time to fill out our little biography so that we can all get to know each other better.
Mike that is one fine family picture.[:-thumbu][:-thumbu]
Don't know how Rusty could possibly think that you could be a "Mean Ole Troll" as you look like a kindly grandfather to me.
Again thanks to all who have participated in this thread.

John you crack me up! I know you probably meant that as a compliment to Mike but he's younger than I am and his daughters are yet to be married. Fact is today they are having a wedding shower for the first one!

You probably have Mike sputtering and stammering better than anything I could have zinged him with.[:-bouncy][:-bouncy]

Hi Rusty
Yes it was a compliment.
Maybe I should have written "Grandfather to be"
