On the side rod screw issue with these Heislers....try some Permatex Loctite thread locker compound. It is the red Loctite. It is readily available in any good auto parts store. A small drop, and those siderods won't be backing out again. Make sure it's a small drop. You don't want them to break if you ever need to disassemble.
