Can someone give me some dimentions
on the Bachman shay such as:
lenght from beam to beam
lenght of boiler "T" to smoke box front.
truck centers

I was just curious to see if a credible Mich-Cal #2
can be made with the Bachman as a basis. It looks very close.

I'm working on a mich cal conversion for the bachmann shay using the brass cab kit made by keith weismann (www.locopainter.com) They may not be listed on his website but they can often be found on ebay and are probaly available direct. They are very nice.

I had the same idea,
the Weismann castings look great but I don't
know if I want to spend $1oo.oo on them.
I may just try to use styrene and scratch a cab and
oil and water tank.
