Hi Mike,
Could you give us a little more info ie: are you using DCC? Do you want the led's to stay on all the time? Thanks,

Ken

Ok Mike,
I believe that with DCC the polarity of the track never changes,if that is true then all you need to do is put the resistor in series with the LED on the long lead of the LED,this is the Pos side , and then hook to your track as follows long lead to + ,short lead to - . If both leads are the same lenght , then one side of the LED will be flat and that is the - side. You should not need the diode unless you want to drop the voltage some,if so just put it in series with the resistor.Hope this helps.I am leaving work right now,but will check back when I get home.Let me know if this is what you needed.

Ok to diode, but it will only drop about .7 volts. If you have the correct resistor, the LED should take upto about 20 volts with no problem. When I get home I will send you some links to pages that are very helpfull with this stuff.I am an electronics tech with 30 years expierience, but even I still need help sometimes lol I am heading out the door. Will be back in an hour or so.
