That's a sad picture. Looked like a nice boat. Once.... [:-cry]

Bernd and Rick, I appreciate the comps.
Carl, honestly I don’t even get excited about the switching layout at the Center. Dave and I got interested because we could build structures.
Dave, happy to oblige.
Rich, thank you I enjoyed building the “Reef”.
Pete I hear ya’ on hurricane power. Seems after every hurricane there are boats all over the place.
Phillip, thanks a lot and Merry Christmas to you.
The picture kind of reminds me of Washington crossing the Delaware Turnpike.

Top rung modeling .....and ornaments!

No worries on the boat location until the next 'cane comes through, when the railroad may have to come by and move it off the tracks.
Sniff around on the Web and look for NYNH&H photos of damage from the 1938 hurricane that slammed into the shoreline and trashed a lot of New England. You'll find steamboats located well inland and so on. Print a couple and when the nay-sayers open up, show them the prints. "Read it and weep!"
Very, very nicely done all the way around. Be proud of this!

Absolutely beautiful. The wreck is a tour de force of model building, a real enhancement to the scene.

The more I study this large diorama, the more I find fascinating. I especially like the way you position all of your special outlying buildings. They all seem to fit precisely, pre-planned areas.
You have especially mastered your water too. Just great!

Keep on building custom structures...we love it!

I like building custom one of a kind structures more than operation
Honesty is the best policy. Nothing to be embarrassed about Frank. [:-thumbu]

I like the beach scene. Looks really nice.

Rob, I'm embarrassed to say . . . not very often. And when I do it's not for very long. When I built it I wanted to have a switching layout at home to mess around with. While it was under construction I discovered I like building custom one of a kind structures more than operation. The more structures and the more scenery I added it became almost impossible to operate. So now it’s basically a big diorama.

Hi Frank. Thanks for the 3 new photo's of the layout . Looks great.
Just curious. Do you ever operate, or actually run the trains on it ?

Phil thanks, that coming from a fellow mariner.
No Jerry, you and Diane’s spot is just fine. Now had the boat run aground by the lighthouse that would have been another story.

Frank, that looks fantastic! really sets the scene.

Frank I hope that wreck didn't intrude on Diane & mine spot!
God we need the sun its in the 20's here today!!
Nice ornament!! If I lived there I'd be first in line.
