I have a couple of questions, who makes a good tank car for anhydrous amonia?

It depends on the ERA you are modeling- 1970's, 80's, or later. The Atlas car is good from the mid 1960's to the late 70's. When they received the HM-144 Modifications, the appliances changed. Particularly the end platforms. The Walthers 33 M gallon model is a good representation of a car which would be in service after thew late 1970's HM-144 retrofit programs. The sharp new Athearn cars are later, 1990's and later. To change a propane car to AA service, change the commodity specific stenciling, and the Placards.

Atlas should work good either in HO or N.
