Several days ago someone asked about a railcar photo. I believe that Backwoods Miniatures is introducing a new railcar/critter. I'm not affiliated in any way, just thought someone here might be interested in it.

Thanks for the link Dave. I've been told that some of my front pilots are heavy on my critters. Well that one proto from your link realy has a heavy duty pilot.
That's one of those times when you can prove there is one of everything somewhere.

Thanks Dave, that answers my questions, and maybe I could find a way to cut and splice the chain to bring it closer in some if I had to.

pfft what did you send to them to get such a nice reply? :P

Hi Andy,

I guess it might have been because I'm from Australia - you know, one of those old Convicts...[:-ghost]

Seriously though, the lady was very helpful, and apologised for not getting back sooner: it makes me feel as though I OWE them the purchase of a gear and chain set, just for the trouble they went to....

Oh well......

w'hay, nice to see they replied to you with some info john, all i got was "If that information is not detailed on our website under O scale Accessories then I can’t answer your question, sorry.

All I can only tell you is the OGD-2 is designed to replace when worn the DJH range of O scale Motor/Gearboxes – Perkins/Napier/Merlin for DJH kits.

Only the Perkins is still in production , all other motor/gearboxes have been discontinued , but we continue to stock and sell OGD-2 for after sales / wear & tear."

pfft what did you send to them to get such a nice reply? :P
shame to see its over scale though

Larry, a friend built it years ago, notpart of the challenge, thats why I posted it hear.

Louis, Itook a quick look at HO stuff, I think you could use them if you are not trying to make it perfect to the picture.
