Those wagons look a lot like the Austrian Zillertal 'balloons' ! They had/have them on the WLLR, 2nd hand from Austria.

Here's one of their cars I'd really like to make sometime, a bar on wheels:

And yes, I did have a ride in it once :)

cheers, Leo

Larry, good to see you back to modeling.

All of Leo's passenger car bashing got me to thinking.[;-xmas]

I put five sets of cars up for sale a few years ago and no takers.

So all they really need is some TLC. paint and decals.

I repainted the five passenger cars I had and am looking at building open air observation cars out of the gons.

The cars should look good in red with and better after appling the TML logo at each end, gold numbers, car names and windows. Then a little dull coat and road dust.

Holy cow! You go from 0-60 in under 5 seconds!

This is a very cool little kit and a nice rendition of it on your part. Staying tuned.

Larry, I really like the little guy!.....too bad the sides couldn't be a little lower as they hide a lot of the upright boiler detail.
I'm sure a stay alive will give you a "smooth ride"....tom

It has been a busy day on the TML.
I started painting the new critter.

I am not happy with the drive that came with the unit, the wheel base is too small see the picture.

Teh roof is not glued on yet so a small gap.

I think I will use a spud drive for this unit. That will allow me to fit a keep alive decoder in the unit. Now to find one that will fit.

Larry, glad to see you working on the railroad again, the rolling stock looks great, as does the critter you're building, looking forward to seeing it painted.
