Posted - 10/16/2009 : 7:11:25 PM Hi guys! I am new to the forum and never done this before. So I thought I would jump right in and post a little modeling. I am a member of the Norhtern California Narrow Gaugers module club (see other topic setup by John Cooper). I am the guy with the two modules reflecting the logging service facility andf the mine scene.
I am trying to upload some recent modeling for view and comment. However, Pics will not load (site under maintenance??) Is this a regular thing or am I doing something wrong. Help?

Posted - 06/18/2013 : 8:58:33 PM Good idea Marc. Maybe I can turn it into a YouTube slide show. I have been meaning to upload something new for a while now. Hope to see you soon! Scott |

Posted - 06/18/2013 : 7:58:16 PM Scott, perhaps you can post your .ppt tutorial on line? It's a nice lesson. (I may be on line already?) Marc |

Posted - 06/17/2013 : 3:44:50 PM Thanks Scott, knowing how you like paper I suspected that you had used printed textured material for this build. Great job, I wish i could learn how to get the textured material set to print like you do.

Posted - 06/17/2013 : 1:54:12 PM I was hoping someone would ask.....it is a paper print photo texture of a peeling painted wood I found on line and scaled to use for this building. It is mounted on foam core. The peaked roof is painted / weatered masking tape. The shed roof is a photo texture of a galvinized roof material. A little extra weathing and some 3D relief details help complete the illusion. I have been bouncing back and forth between balsa strips and paper textures for certain models. On this model I wanted to do something "quick", so paper it was (about 4-hours from cutting / mounting to complete building). Also, thanks for all the support. Scott |

Posted - 06/17/2013 : 12:18:05 PM Scott, I have a question about the construction of your shed, is it stick built or a conbination of different materials? Thanks .

Posted - 06/17/2013 : 11:25:41 AM Hi Scott - the whole seen looks great - in particular, the "even" weathering treatment, on the shed and stuff surrounding it - nice! Cheers Nick |

Posted - 06/16/2013 : 11:44:42 PM Hi Scott,
It's great to see you working on the railroad again. After seeing your layout during the "barn meet," I was wondering what happened to your posts. You really have an artistic eye for building a great model railroad.
